L'Hôtel Fabian des Bauxlocated in Les Baux-de-Provence, is ideally situated close to the "Regards sur Les Baux-de-Provence" event. This exhibition runs from August to November at the Hôtel de la Tour de Brau, offering a historical and thematic exploration of the town, from the formation of the rocky outcrop to the present day.
In the heart of a Renaissance mansion, visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to discover images and objects that are rarely exhibited, offering a unique vision of this exceptional heritage. This exhibition invites visitors to discover the history of Les Baux-de-Provence, reinterpreted through the notion of heritage.
The remains of Les Baux-de-Provence bear witness to the richness of its past and have inspired many artists to contribute to its revival. If legends offer a romantic vision of the past, heritage reinvents its contours for a new interpretation.
The starting point for the "Regards sur Les Baux-de-Provence" exhibition is a re-reading of the history of Les Baux-de-Provence, presenting it as a place that is alive, moving and in tune with the times, continuing to radiate throughout the world.
The exhibition itself is housed in an emblematic site that has successively been a home, an oil mill and a museum. The contemporary structure of the exhibition, designed by Pavel Lomakin, is reusable and modular, conceived as a giant construction game for children too.
Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the visual and artistic heritage of Les Baux-de-Provence thanks to images and objects from artistic, iconographic and architectural collections. Rarely exhibited, these pieces allow visitors to discover Les Baux-de-Provence through the eyes of artists, offering a unique vision of this exceptional heritage.
