Jean Cocteau at the Musée Brayer in Les Baux
From 8 May to 11 November 2025, the Musée Yves Brayer in Les Baux-de-Provence is presenting an exceptional exhibition dedicated to Jean Cocteau, an emblematic figure of the 20th century. Writer, film-maker, draughtsman... Cocteau fascinates with his abundant creativity.
Over 100 original works, photographs, film and theatre posters immerse you in the dreamlike world of this artist, nicknamed the "Prince of Poets". Visitors are guided by three main themes: Storms, Enchantments and Crossing the Looking Glass.
A special section highlights the filming of Testament d'Orphée in Les Baux-de-Provence, immortalised by the Arles photographer Lucien Clergue. The exhibition is enhanced by a dialogue between Cocteau's drawings and works by Yves Brayer.
